The first return from the operations of tho Wnihi-Paerou Gold Extraction Co., Ltd., is £1412 14s lOd, from 3845 tons of tailings treated from Bth. to 23rd March inclusive, which, with 1500 toti& previously treated, the value being fitill in solution, gives 7b 4d per toll actual ex> traction, plus 9d per ton estimated value of slags still untreated, making 8s Id actual estimated extraction at a working cost of 3s 9d per ton.
