March 28— Wsurau, e.b. (1.20 p.m.), 93 tons, Irvine, lor Fo.xton. A WARNING TO MARINERS. UNCHARTED ROCK. The Marine Department received a telegram from the harbourmaster at" Picton to-day stating that Capt. Perano, master of the steamer Klfcie, had reported tliaF he had bighted a rock in the i'rentli I'a*s. The approximate position of the rock is north 23deg,, east magnetic, from Fraocfb Head, commonly known, as Clay .Point, from which it is dibtant 14 mileb. The latitude is 40deg OSraiu south, and the longitude 174deg lruin, east. The lock is in a very dangerous position, being right in the fairway of all vesselb . travelling through the French Pass. Mariners' are asked to keep a sharp look-out for this obstruction. The Mapourika left Westport at 10 a.m. to-duy for Nelson and Wellington. She is due here at 5 o'clock to-morrow afternoon. The Haupiri will arrive from Auckland, via East Coast bays. tlWs evening. At 5 p.m. tomorrow she saili* for Picton, Nelson, Gisborne, and Eubl Coast bays. The Hauroto leaves for Westport at 6 O'clock this evening, and on Tuesday she returns' with a full load of coal. At 0 a.m. to-day the Navua left Westport fo? Wellington with coal. On Monday evening fche leaves again, for Westport. The Arahura leavts at 4 o'clock this afternoon for Nelson, where fihe embarks 300 Territorials for transhipment to Picton. She is due back here at 2 o'clock to-monow afternoon, 4ind at C p.m. bhe resumes her usual tunning. The Jlotoiti left Titnaru at 5 p.m. yesterday for Wellington. She is due here this evening, and on arrival will lay up. The Karori left Westport la*t night loaded for Wellington; and the l'oherua got away from G icy mouth about the same time, also for thfe porl. „ The Otuki, Bailing this afternoon from Wellington, takes with her the following cargo from Waitaia-— 250 bales wool, 134 casks tallow, 3719 carcat>eb mutton, 1002 carcases lamb, 209 pockets wool, 4321 quarters beef, 60 bides veal, 110 casks oleo, 244 boxes canned meats, 8 bales leather. She also takes a consignment of 1116 quarters beef ior Gibraltar. BY TELEGRAPH. FAREWELL BPIT, 29th March. Poherua pabsed east at 10.30 a.m. for Wellington.
