The butchers' strike continues and police escort wag obtained for a load of meat being brought Into town, rumours having been circulated that there was a movement afoot to capture it. The strikers assembled in front of the shop where the meat was being, unloaded and expressed free opinions refai'ding the men engaged in the work, •olice aseistane© was called for and persuaded the critics to desist, but later on there was another demonstration.
