NEW THEATRE AND SKATING RINK
— . | A syndicate of Wellington and Auck- I land Representatives has arranged with the trustees of the Hotel Cecil for a lease for twenty-one years of a portion ■of the land fronting MoleßWorth-street, on which is to be erected a theatre and jikating rirtk. The old buildings which now occupy the frontage are to be immediately demolished, and a start^with the erection of the new structure will be made as quickly as possible. Mr. J. Bennie, architect, Jjas received instructions to prepare -plans for the building, which will have a. frontage of 62ft by a depth oi 133ffc 6in, will be on the most ' modern lines, and will cost about £8000. It is expected that it will be completed in about six months.'
