NO-LICENSE LEAGUE.

The Wellington City and Suburbs No-license League met last evening, a large number, being present to hear final report* of recent campaign. The bare majority question was again discussed, when it was resolved the time has come for emphasising and enforcing the reiterated protests of the No-licen&e Party against the three-fifths majority required for the carrying of No-license and National Prohibition as unjust, undemocratic, and intolerable. , Special references were madeto the services rendered by 3fiss Weymouth and Mr. Bliss in their capacity as assistant organisers to the league. Owing to the unsatisfactory state of the political situation it was resolved that the various sub-leagues be asked to remain intact and work in conjunction with the executiye. A general meeting of the city and suburban organisations will be held in January.
