AUCKLAND, .-21 st December. Southern papers refer to the fact that most of the Main Trunk passenger holiday traffic is set in a steady stream, towards Auckland. The railway returns amply illustrate the extent of the influx from up-country. Special trains continually arrive, bringing in hundreds. .The streets are filled with holidaymakers. Business people declare a record Christmas trade, and the hotels and boardinghouses are rapidly filling with visitors.
