LODGE MEETINGS.

The monthly session of the Wellington' District Lodge, No. 5, 1.0. G.T., was held in. the Rechabite Hall, Man-ners-street, Bro. G. Price, D.C.T., presiding. There was a fair attendance of "members. The reports of the various officers were received and adopted. The D.C.T. reported the coming of Sister Grimley, who has been engaged for mission work. The following resolution was carried unanimously : — "That this. District Lodge place on record its gratification on the large number of votes cast for National Prohibition, but regrets that the three-fifths clause prevents'the wish of the majority of electors being given effect to." The quarterly meeting of Court Sir George Grey, 3118. A.0.F., was held in the court-room. Bro. G. Key, P.D.C.R., presided over a large attendance. The report uf the Jubilee Committee Was held over until the ensuing quarter-night. The election of officers took place, the following members being elected for the respective offices : — Bro. Anderson, C.R. ; Bro. Wilson, G.C.R. ; Bro. Whittington, S.W. ; Bro. T. Key, J.W. ; Bro. 0. Smith. 5.8. ; Bro. A. Turner, U J.B. ; Bro. Picot, treasurer ; Bro. Clark, secretary ; Bfo. Lighti'oot, minuto secretary. During the evening the visiting brothers from .the" surrounding courts were tendered a hearty welcome, accompanied^ by the "Forester's fire." Three new members were proposed for tmtia* tion on next court night.
