OUTBREAK IN DERBYSHIRE.
RIOTERS SCATTERED BY POLICE. LIVERPOOL TRAMWAY TROUBLE UNSETTLED. (Received August 24, 9.50 a.m.) ' LONDON, 23rd August. Pierce rioting has taken place at Alfredton, in, the Erewaeh Valley, Derbyshire. The police truncheoned and scattered the rioters, who were mostly hooligans from the surrounding district*. The Liverpool tramways men have been reinstated in the carriage- works ( and power-houses. bbutt t the masters refuse to reinstate the drivers. Hence the Liverpool committee has decided to continue the fight.
