.' FUTURE ACTION. The coal-wc-rkeTs' section of the Waterside Workers' Union met on Wednesday. There were fifty-tw6 members present. Mr. R. J. Seal inresided, and Mr. Cur- ! tis, president of the Waterside Workers' Union was present. After a long discussion, it wris decided to I urge the union to take a ballot as to whether it should or should not join the New Zealand Federation of Labour. It is understood that the waterside ■workers' current award being about to expire, that fresh demands will be made ill the direction rtf increased wages a,nd improved working conditions. The question of canceDatiou of the registration of the union has been discussed in view of the recent success of the London dock-workers. It has been decided to refeir the question of cancellation of registration to the Waterside Workers' Conference, to b& held in Auckland presently.
