PERSONAL MATTERS.
The Rev. Mr, and Mrs. Fee, of Wellingtoa, returned from Sydney to-day by the Moeraki. Mr. Chris. Langsworth, general manager in Sydney of Chubb's Australian Company, Ltd., arrived in Wellington by the Moeraki to-day. Mr. J. F. MacMahon and Mr. A. R. V. Lodder loft for. Auckland to-day, to coffiplftte t>foe final arrangements for their new continuous picture enterprise in the northern city, Mr. James Goodall, president of the Greymouth Wharf Wotkots* Unioh, has been elected secretary of the union vice Mr. John Jaekasn, resigned, states a Press Association telegram. The ballot resulted: Goodall, 123; Brook, 21. Messrs. •A. J. Solomon and Ernest Glass, of the Barnet Glass Rubber Company, are at present in Wellington. It .is the intention of the company to ex* tend its business to New Zealand, and Mr. Solomon will remain in the Do» muiion to manage affairs. . Passengers by the Moeraki from Sydney to-day included Dr. Borghetti, of ! Wellington, Mr.- L. G, Howard (of the ! Howard-Smith Shipping Company of Australia), Mr, R. M'Lellan (manager of the Island, San Francisco, and Vancouver branches of the Union Shipping Company), and Mr. Baker (American Consul at Hobart).
