For _ some time past the Borough Council has been conducting a municipal moving picture show, the only one of ita kind in New Zealand. For the first six months it showed a profit of £14 a Week, but lately, owing to the difficulty of securing good film, it ha* not been/ so successful. Last night the Opera House Committee of the Borough Council decided to discontinue the venture till aueh time as arrangements could oe made for procuring up-to-date programmes, for which the council ia negotiating. »
