Horatio Bottomley's appeal a^niet the decision of the King a Bench ill the Master case has been dismissed. Lord Justice Vaughan Williatrtß flifl' sented, considering that Master was a mete gambler, Lord Justice Moulton stated that Bottomloy induced Master to purchase worthless shares in tho John Bull In* vestment Company. Lords Shaw and Buckley agreed with Lord Moulton. Bottomiey will appeal to a higher eoutfc. In this case Mre, Eleanor Curti*, executrix of the will of her father, the laic R. Master, retired Civil servant, sued Horatio Bottomlev for £67,835, alleged to have been obtained by Belling deceased worthkßs shares. Defend* ant denied misrepresentation. A Verdict was given for plaintiff, with £50,000 damages. A stay of eiwetifcion was granted on condition that the full amount of damfl^es wr* paid into court. A few Weeks ago he was sued, the court order* ing him to pay £20.000 in connection' with a judgment obtained againet him in November, 1805; and he aW snbroitted to judgment for £17,250 ift another case.
