WHOLESALE POISONING.
TWO WOMEN UNDER ARREST. By Telegraph.— Frees Association.— Copj-Hglit. ' VIENNA, 31st July. A nurse named Marie Gerasan has been arrested on & charge of wholesale poisoning, at Szegedin, in Hungary. The deaths of many married, men from a mysterious wasting dise&ge had aroused, suspicion, and an autopsy in eight cases revealed the presence of poi*oii. A young wrnnah named Levar has also been arrested. ALLEGED MOTIVE. TO GET RID OF UNWANTED HUSBANDS. (Received August 1, 9.20 a.m.) VIENNA. 31st July. It t is stated that Geraan c motive was to rid wives of husbands who were not wanted. Levar's husband recently died, and hence suspiclen arose. Poison Was discovered in Gerzan's house. Accused states that it ttßs ueed for spraying vines.
