At the last winter meeting Julian was disqualified for twelve months, on the charge of wilfully pulling the horse Napper in the Kaftoke Hack Hurdles. Julian appealed, and the judges referred the matter back to the committee, to enable the jockey ,to be heard himself and to call evidence in his defence, The taking of evidence occupied over four hours, when the committee adjourned until Wednesday afternoon; when the matter will be threshed out.
