Orders to administer were aleo granted to the Public Trustee in respect of the estates of the following :— 4ohn Marie Moison, la-fee of Ashburton, bootmaker; George M'Donald, lateof Maungatna, farmer ; Hugh Key, late of Sea> cliff, gardener ; John Milo Gibbons, late of Fordell, tutor; Anna Maria Neilson, late of Auckland, domestic} Edward Whiting, late of Waiffiatetiui, farmer j George Bull, late of Auckland, caretaker (with will of deceased annexed) j David Robertson, late of Hetiot, settler (with will of deceased annexed) ; William Arthur Beecroft, late of Norfolk, England, formerly of Hastings, gentleman (with will of deceased annexed). , "DECLARED TO BE BEAD." The court dealt with a motion for an j order declaring one Richard PatteMon to be dead. The. facts of the ewe are shortly a« follows :— Patterson and his wife, Ada Jane Patterson, resided in Christchurch, and Mre. PatteTson died in 1898, leaving a will by which she gave her whole estate to her husband dnring hie lifetime, and after his deease to her children in equal shares. Probate of will was duly granted to the Public Trustee, and shortly after his wife's death ( Pattereon disappeared, having gone, ifc was believed, to Australia. He was last heard of in 1900, when he wrote to the Public Trustee, giving his address as care the Rev. CoWperthwaite, Pirie-otreet, Adelaide. Exhaustive enquiries were made in and around Adelaide regarding his whereabouts, but without result, Some years ago the Public Trustee petitioned the court for directions regarding t~he disposal of the moneys held on account of Paterson as life tenant under his wife's will, and the court directed that advertisements be publish' ed in the papers circulating in. and around Adelaide. These advertisements have now been published, "wrlhoiifc result, and on the matter coming befdr* , the court again hie Honour declared Patterson to be dead, and authorised fcii^ Public Trustee to distribute ihi* v ce'e estate accordingly.
