MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. Mr. W. J. Organ presided over a meet, ing of the Management Committee of the Wellington Hockey Association last evening. , The chtiirmaii and secretary (Mr. A. A. BennelSt) were authorised to Wait on the City Council in support of a deputation in reference to a sports ground at JBrooklj tn. The La dies' Association was given permission to use tho grounds at Day's liay for tt k tournament at a charge of six guinea. 6,' plus the cost of marking the ground fe. A junior: representative team is to visit Waira fa-pa, and the captains of the Wellington^, 'Jnited, and Victoria College teams were appointed selectors. The Auc !klaiid Shield match takes place on 12 Ih August. Should Wellington win, I S elson will be met on 26th August, and Otago on Oth September.
