BLUFF'S PROGRESS.
iNYIiRCABGtLL, _28th July. At the invitation of Captain M'Dougall, representing the Shaw, Sayill, and Albion Company, representative city men were entertained at luncheon to-day on board B.M.S. Corinthic at the BlufL The gathering was notable for the tribute paid by Captain Hart, of the Corinthic, to the arrangement at Bluff harbour. In proposing success to the harbour, Captain Mart (whose vessel had come up the harbour in darkness) stated that it was a» harbour capable of extension when the future demanded it. The fact that the tides had to be watched_ was nothing unueualr Whew the Corinthic could enter on a dark night, and come alongside without so much as crushing an egg, it completely refuted all charges that had been made against the harbour.
