HAUROTO CRASHES INTO NAPIER WHARF.
VESSEL AND STRUCTURE CONSIDERABLY DAMAGED. NAPIER, 28th July. As the steamer flauroto was coming alongside the Glasgow Wharf about 6.SU last evening she ran into the end of it 'stem on, cutting through the 10ft timber bay and about 4ft of the concrete wharf beyond it. The rent in the wharf is approximately 14ft long, and of the same width at the entrance. The damage to the wharf is considerable, and the steamer was also considerably damaged at the bow a few feet above the Water-line. The stem is dented, and the steel plates are open for a distance of about Tltfrom the front. The harbourmaster Was in charge at the time;
