■ ».-■■■. - INVESTMENTS IN POST OFFICE SAVINGS BANK. The balance-sheet of the New Zealand Post Office accounts presented to Parliament yesterday shows that the total funds amount to £14,934,354. Of this hug© sum no less than £13,725,819 h set opposite "investments." During the year fended 31st December^ 1910, there were 647 post office savings banks open in New Zealand and at thefie the sum of £10,708,938 was deposited, white £9,695,514 was withdrawn, an excels of deposits over withdrawals of £1,013,424. The total cost of management for the year was £28,000, and the interest paid £424,685. The total amount' standing to tho credit of all accounts at the eid of the year , was £14,104,089,
