.^ALLEGED BREACHES OF COMPANIES ACT. I Several companies were charged at me Magistrate's Court, before Mr. W. C 4. Riddell, S.M., to-day with breaches «f the Companies Act. Defendants were- the North Island Brewery Com* pa-ny, the Patea Shipping Company, Nelson. Moats, and Co.. the Bakaimui Hall Company, Ltd.. the Newboulds 'Patent*', Ltd., and the- New Zealand •Fruit and Produce Co., Ltd., and it Was alleged ( in the informations that ■they each failed to make a return of & ,i#t of membera, together with a sum' JMary for the year 1910. Notices of de* ienoe wete filed in the first three" cases, ■^ttd an adjournment wad granted until Friday next. Decision was reserved in ilia case against The Eakauntti Hall Company, Ltd., bub fines 6i 10s, with Coats (7s), and solicitor's fee. (£1 Is) were imposed on the Newboulda Pa,tenW, LteL, and the New Zealand •'Fruit and Produce Co., Ltd., each ad- , nutting a technical breach. Mr. Neave appeared for the Registrar of Companies.
