EXCITING SCENES. THE SEAMEN'S STRIKE.
STRIKERS FORCIBLY ENTER A DOCK. THEY START A FIRE. By Teletfrapto.— Pre«* Association.— Copyright (Received June 21, 10 a.m.) LONDON, 20th June. The seamen strikers at Glasgow, believing that non-unionists were to be employed on one of the Burns's Company's steamers, forcibly entered tho docks. The police drove them back, but i the crowd seized empty boxes and also barrels pf paraffin, and fired the premises. They stoned the fire brigade, which ultimately extinguished the ilames. The mob, numbering 6000, was eventually dispersed, the fireman turning the hoees on it. ALL-ROUND SETTLEMENTS. (Reecived June 21, 10.35 a.m.) LONDON, 20th June. The White Star Booth, Allan, and Leyland Shipping Companies have made all round settlements with the strikers. The Cunard Company has agreed to pay ten shillings a mpnth extra.
