ABOUT A LAUNCH.

The hearing of the partly heard case brought by James Bringins, boat builder, Wellington, against Peter Heyee, accountant, Wellington, claiming £18 6s, balance alleged to be due for work done and material supplied in connection with the fitting of an engine, etc., in defendant's launch, "Titania," was resumed before Dr. M'Arthur. S.M., yesterday. Defendant brought a crossaction to recover the sum of £20, alleging that Bringjna agreed, for the sum of £10 and an old engine, to remove the old engine, fit _in 'the new engine, and to effect certain improvements in the launch. It was further alleged that Bringins earned out the work in an unskilful manner, and the claim was in respect of the loss alleged to have been, sustained through defective workmanship. Both actions were heard together. Mr. J. O. Peacock appeared for plaintiff, and Sir. "J. J. M'Grath for defendant, Decision was reserved.
