NEW POST OFFICE FOR KAIWARA

For' some 1 time past Mr. J. P. Luke, M.P. for the Wellington Suburbs electorate, has been urging the Government to acquire a site andi erect a suitable Post and Telegraph Office to meet the requirements of Koiwarra and district. It has been decided novv to carry out Mr. Luke's suggestion, and the Post Office is to be built. In selecting a site it was deemed necessary to provide not only for present needs, but also for future extension. A section of land at the corner of the main Ngaio-Khan-dallah-road, where it intersects the Hutt road in the township, has been secured from the Railway Department, and, as soon as the necessary agreement with the department is concluded, a substantial modern post office will bo erected. In the meantime temporary premises have been takn for postal purposes.
