Vine-dressers at Trepail barricaded the village and pillaged the residence of a wine merchant. The soldiery demolished the barricades, and, in order to stop devastation of the cellars, charged with drawn swords. Fifty acres of vines belonging to Messrs. Five hundred navvies on strike on the canal works at IMaTsaUles have had conflicts with the police. Twelve policemen and many strikers have been injured.
