DANNEVIRKE TO WEBER RAILWAY.
FIJI TJULEGEAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.} DANNEVIRKE, This Day. The Minister of Public Works arrived this morning from Woodville. An informal deputation of citizens welcomed the Minister, and advocated xiie construction of a branch railway line from Dannevirke to Wellington. The Minister accorded a sympathetic hearing, and said undoubtedly a line through the back country would have to be made in a few years' time. The proposal for a branch line to Dannevirke would then be considered. The Minister left for Weber to-day.
