YACHT RACES.

"The weather on Saturday was perfect for harbour yachting, a fresh northerly making matters most interesting once all tho yachts were under way. The Motor Boat Club also held races, which were keenly contested. The following are results of the various events :— , PORT ' NICHOLSON YACHT CLUB. First Class Yachts, started 3.15 p.m.— Windward (lOmin), 1; Mahina (scratch), 2; Muritai .(2£min). ' 3. Albo started— Siren (lmin). The finishing times were: Mahina, ohr 24min lOsec; Muritai, shr 28min 18 sec; Siren, shr 30min 34sec; Windward, shr 30min 56soc. Second Class Yachts, stnrted 3 p.m.— Nanoya (16min), 1; Lizzie (scratch), 2; and Taipare (scratch), 3. Nancy Stair (1£ mm) also 'stai-ted. The finishing times were: — Lizzie, shr 21min 25sec: Nancy Stair, shr 26mm 15sec; Taipare, shr 52 mm 35sec; Nanoya, shr 33min 12sec. Third Class Yachts two started.— To Rhuna, (15rnin), 1 : Rawcnc (scratch), 2. TE aRO SAILING CLUB. Tho Tc\ Aro Sailing Club attracted .seven starters .— Valeta. (l2min), 1; Lotus (12min), 2; and Redwing (7min), 3. Also started: Nan (lmin),- Kaitare (scratch), Winifred (15min). The finishing times ivoie: Valeta, shr 20min 50sec; Lotus, 4hr 22min 15sec; Redwing, 4hr 22min 45sec; Nan, *hr 26min 21scc; Kaifare, 4hr 26 mm 28sec ; and Winifred, 4hr 36min 40scc. MOTOR LAUNCH RACE. The Motor Boat Club racp was won by Toanui, 1; Scotia, 2; and Ilex, 3.
