HOUSE PICNIC.
An enjoyable picnic was held on Saturday at Upper Hutt by the employees of T. A. Wells. There was a large attendance, and a number of races were held, with the following results :— looyds Championship. — A. Kennedy, 1; D. Monkhouse, 2. 220 yds Apprentices' Race.— W. Rouse, 1; P. Donaldson, 2. 440 yds Apprentices' Race.— A. Kennedy, 1; P. Donaldson, 2. 220 yds Journeymen's Race. — A. Warron, 1; J. Hedges, 2. 75yds Single Ladies' Race. — Miss R,. Donaldson, 1 ; Miss I. Rash, 2. 50yds Married Ladies' Race.— Mrs. Foothead, 1 ; Mrs. Lobern, 2.
