AN APPEAL.
XO THE EDITOB. Sir, — I tsn. in distressing: circumstances, and unable to get suitable employment. I am crippled ; therefore I cannot compete with the ordinary .■working mm, a&d t although I have
tried hard to help myself, I have failed. 1 am a married man. which makes my position worse. During the past few months 1 have done some pick and shovel work, but a man that; has only one foot cannot work alongside of men who have the use of all their limbs. When I sought, this class of work I could not tell my employer that I had only one foot. I felt ciure he would not employ me. In the course of time he found out my misfortune, and I got the sack. I have done no woxk for some weeks, and I have not got a-ny money to put an advt. in your paper ot any to pay the rent or buy food. If you could give me some help in the matter of ,getthi«f som>e work of a, nature suitable to my condition — were it only for a week or a month, just to relieve the pressure — I would be very grateful. — I am, etc., AN UNFORTUNATE.
