Owing to the anti-vaccination vie-wa held by the Mile-End guardians, the people of tho distriot, in which there are several cages of smallpox, remain ta a large extent unvaccinarted. I Medical men recall fha fact that a ■ similar condition existed in Montreal! in 1886, when 3000 persons died from smallpox. __________ !>^______
