At a- meeting of the Hotelkeepers' Association, one of the members strongly condemned the counter lunch. Undesirables, ha said, mauled the food ; opiumsmokers, consumptives, even lepers, might handle it. It made boys thieves; nightly he saw them sneaking into hotels after counter lunches.
