ELECTION PETITION ABANDONED. By Telegraph— Press Association—Copyright. ' (Received February 25, 9 a.m.) LONDON, 24th February. The petition against the return of the 1 Hon. Harry Lawson (Unionist), for the Mile End seat, has been abandoned. [At the election in December last Mr. Lawson defeated Mr. B. S. Strauss, the Liberal candidate, by 2i/8 votes to 2176.] In yesterday's issue there was an inaccuracy in the cable message regarding the North Louth election petition. The court found that Mr. R. Hazleton, who 'has been unseated, was not personally implicated in the ilegal practices— not that he was personally implicated.
