STAR BOATING CLUB.
The Star Boating Club's annual swimming' sports were held on Saturday afternoon, in. perfect weather and smooth water. The occasion was graced by the presence of a considerable number of ladies, and Jupp's Band rendered selections throughout the afternoon. The arrangements reflected credit on the energetic committee, of which Mr. S. G. Cowles was secretary. Results were :—: — 50yds Maiden.— First heat : Dean, 1 ; ' Dudley, 2. Second heat : Hislop, 1 ; Little* 2. Final : Little, 1 ; Hislop, 2; Dudley, 3. 50yds Breast Stroke. — Wollerman, 1 ; Kain and Lewis finished first and second respectively, but were disqualified for starting before time." Diving. — Alexander, 1 ; Johnson, 2 ; Wardrop, 3. 100 yds S.B.C. Championship. — M'Lean, 1; Turner, 2; Forbes, 3. 50yds — First heat : Cvun-
