STAR BOATING CLUB.

The Star Boating Club's annual swimming' sports were held on Saturday afternoon, in. perfect weather and smooth water. The occasion was graced by the presence of a considerable number of ladies, and Jupp's Band rendered selections throughout the afternoon. The arrangements reflected credit on the energetic committee, of which Mr. S. G. Cowles was secretary. Results were :—: — 50yds Maiden.— First heat : Dean, 1 ; ' Dudley, 2.
