WORKMEN'S PENSIONS.
THE FRENCH SCHEME. TWELVE MILLION PERSONS BENEFIT. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright* LONDON, 27th January. In a debate in the Chamber of Deputies on the Workmen's Pensions Bill, it was shown that 12,000,000 persons would benefit by the- scheme. The contributions will ba obligatory both on mem and women earning below, £120 per annum, but pensions supplemented by a State grant could bo secured by those earning below £200 a year or by their wives by means of voluntary deposits.
