Mr. Robin, chairman of the Bank Committee/entered a sanatorium on Saturday last, following a mental breakdown. He attempted to commit suicide. MAYOR, CHIEF OF POLICE, AND OTHER OFFICIALS ARRESTED. yOTES SAID TO HAVE BEEN ALTERED. (Received December 29, 8.5 a.m.) NEW YORK, 28th December. The Mayor, the Chief of Police, and seven city officials % of Gary, Indiana, have been arrested on a charge of having altered votes at the State election in November last.
