Goodall stated that Shannon had been bathing just after tea, and was seen by some Maoris .ia sink and rise again 'in the water twicej and then disappear.- Shannon, who is about nineteen years of age, had- : been employed at the mill for less than 'six weeks, and nothing is at present known as to his relatives.
