GYMNASIUM PICNIC.
Mr. Harrison's gymnasium pupils held their annual picnic at Day's Bay on Saturday. There was a very large muster, and all enjoyed themselves thoroughly. ,A' sports programme resulted as follows : — Boys' three-legged race — S. Limuington and JR. Cathie, 1. 150 yds handicap — A. Noble, 1. Championship— R. Cathie 1, A. Andrews 2. Consolation race — 3j. Dryden 1. Girls.— Skipping, D. Diydon, 1 ; hopping, D. Dryden, 1 ; running handicap, S. Malcolm 1, M. Duncan' 2 ; tliread-the-needle, D. Phillips, 1 ; championship, R. Bedt'oid, 1; consolation race, D. Anderson, 1.
