GRAND JUNCTION. MARY SEEF AT NO. 3 LEVEL. [BY TELEGBAI-H — SPECIAL TO THE POST.] WAIHI, 2nd December. Tne crobscut advanced north from tho drive on the Martha reef at No. 3 level in the Grand Junction mine* to pick up the Mary Reef, has intersected the lode. After exposing sft of quartz, the crosscut penetrated about sft of country rock, beyond which a further band of quartz was met with. The first sft gives an assay value of £1 13s per ton. The local director of the Waihi Mine has cabled to London the following report: — "No. 9 level, Edward lode, south from Perch Crosscut — Crosccut at 50ft west, Bft east ; country rock last, 17ft ; value, £1 4s 6d per ton. Edward Lode, north from Perch Crosscut — 20ft .driven ; £1 3s 6d per ton. Martha Lode : South section, west of No. 4 shaft crosscut — 10ft driven, £2 Is ton. Crosscut south, from Royal Lode (Reptile Crosscut) : New reef— loft driven ; 18s 6d per ton ; width of lode about 3ft. (
