V.M.C.A. ACTIVITIES.

Instead of the weekly meeting on Wednesday night, a ramble was taken by th,e intermediates to Lyall Bay. The lads walked all the way from Willisstreet to the beach, and, after having a really good time, beat a retreat to Con-stable-street and thence returned by car. It was a pleasant change, and nearly twenty boys turned out. Last evening the juniors had their weekly meeting.. The attendance was not so good as desired. The secretary spoke on Patrick Hamilton and David Straiton— both early martyrs of the Scotch Church. The boys' department is endeavouring to send a team to Christcliurch at Christmas' to meet, the boys there at cricket. All members are requested to attend next week on their respective night.
