The weather is dull and cold, and some rain fell early, but the track was only slightly affected. Results :—: — Hunt Club Steeplechase, two miles and a half.— Oakley, 12.0. 1; King of Trumps, 9.11, 2; Liberty, 10.12, 3. Scratched — Lady Oreswick and St. Ame Ha. Won by two lengths, six lengths between second and third. Time, smin 18sec. Heathcote Handicap, of seven furlongs. — Nyland, 11.5, 1; Rose Noble, 10.5, 2 ; Wimmera, 10.13, 3. Scratched— North-East and Electrakoff. Sharpshooter and Wimmera led to the turn, whero Penates joined them. In the run home Nyland shot out and won by a length. Rose Noble, finishing fast, beat "Wimmera by a neck. Time, 2min 32 l-ssee Styx Hurdles, once round and a distance.—Tyrant, 9.7, 1 ; Arclight, 9.0, i 2; Rifle Range, 10.8, 3. Scratched— Master Paul and Mauri. A pretty race. , Won by a length, a neck between second 1 and third. Time, 3min 9 4-ssec. Sydenham Hurdles, one mile and three-quarters. — Prophet, 11.9, 1 ; Masi ter Paul, 11.0, 2; Paritutu, 10.9, 3. All I started. Master -Paul led the field to I tho top turn, where Prophet and. Aorangi joined in. Prophet outstayi ing Iris rivals, won by three lengths. * Paritutu was four lengths away. Time, 3min 22sec.
