There is much indignation in shipping circles at a Russian gunboat seizing the Hull trawler Onward Ho! in latitude 68.38de<;. north and 41.44deg east. The Russian authorities contended that the Wliite Sea, in which the trawler was seized, is inland water. The Secretaiy of State for Foreign Affairs (Sir Edward Grey) intervened in the matter, and the trawler was released.
