SAD BURNING FATALITY.
MARRIED WOMAN'S DEATH. FBT TELEGEAPH — PKESS ASSOCIATION-] CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Florence Lydia Thomas, 35 years of age, wife of a blacksmith residing at Sydenham, died in the hospital yesterday as the result of burns. She was making jam on Wednesday morning and when leaning over the pot her apron caught fire. She rushed out of the house and when a neighbour found her the clothes had been almost burned oif her back. She was sent to the hospital. At the inquest this morning the hospital surgeon said the woman was confined after she was admitted. Death was due to shock.
