A decision arrived at by the Hellenic majority in the Cretan Assembly, on the motion, of the President, to exclude Mohammedan members of the Assembly, is> causing excitemertt in Turkey. The Turkish newspapers demand that since the protecting Power's (Britain, France, Russia, and Italy) do not safeguard Ottoman rights, the Turkish naval squadron should present an ultimatum to the Cretan insurgents.
