ACCIDENTS.
A child of nine, Henry Pearson, whose parents reside at Kaiwarra, was admitted to the hospital on Saturday suffering from burns about the face, j the result of playing with blasting powder and matches. The boy's face j was badly scorched. At latest tho authorities report him to be progressing favourably. While going along Kent-terrace on Friday evening last George lleeves, a fireman employed at the Wellington gasworks, slipped, and broke a leg above the ankle. I The Featherston correspondent of The Post telegraphs that Mr Jack Viles, son j of Mr. Josiah Viles, met with a serious i accident on Friday afternoon. His horse 1 fell on a bridge on the Rimutaka-road, and yiles was taken home unconscious. He did not regain consciousness for 24 hours, but his condition is improving now j
