♦ [BY TELEGKAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] FEILDING, 22nd May. Lord Plunket paid a farewell visit here yesterday, and was presented with an address from the Mayor and residents. WANGANUI, 22nd May. His Excellency the Governor is paying a farewell visit to Wanganui. He arrived by special train yesterday afternoon. In the evening a well-attended public meeting was held, when his Excellency was presented with a gold fountain pen to commemorate the part he has played in signing various proclamations, and deeds connected with Wanganui's municipal history. To-day the Governor was taken for a motor trip. He leaves in the morning. HAWERA, This Day. When the Governor arrived here this morning there was a. large assemblage of the military and citizens. The Mayor presented his Excellency with an illuminated address. Lord Plunket appropriately replied. ELTHAM, This Day. The Governor was met here by the Mayor and councillors and member for the district. Whilst hce he visited the Salvation Army Boys' Jlome.

Levy, who was licensee of the Central Hotel on Lambton-quay up till about ten years ago. The deceased, who was a native of Launceston, had been ailing for some years, and it was on account of her health that she and Jier husband removed to Melbourne. Mr. Levy died in Melbourne about seven years ago, and his widow, who was a sister of Mr. M. Nathan (Te Aro Hotel) and Mr. Phil Nathan (New Zealand Railway Department), afterwards became licensee of the Orrong Hotel, Armidale, a suburb of Melbourne, where she died on Saturday night. She has left two sons and two daughters. Mesers. W. 11. Morrah and Co. will hold an auction sale of furniture and eundries in their rooms- to-morrow.
