PRECEDENCE.

TO THE EDITOB. • Sir, — It is so rars to find young peop'e --the yoang colonial in particular — possessing any respect for age. order, or precedence that I beg to remark, with reference to the letter of A. W. Izard, which appeared in your columns of the 16th, objecting io the want of observance or order or precedence at the recent Proclamation Ceremouy — Well done, joung colon ilil ! Mr. laard, in reflecting on the conduct of City Councillors for having, as he states, thrust themselves before certain dignitaries, has made a singular eiror in naming among these the foreign Consuls. If Mr. Izard will icfec to 'government Gazette No. 83 of the 4th October, 1906, page 2608, he will find Consuls ha»n no right of precedence over any ordinary respectable citizen. -- I am, etc., "DECENTLY AND IN ORDER." 18th May, i9lO. TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — Permit me to 3ay a few words in connection with the letters of Dr. Izard and Mr. Geo. Burney in your issues of Monday and Tuesday last concerning the Proclamation ceremony. I should like to point out to Mr. Geo. Burney that vulgar abuse is not argu ment. It is clear from Dr. Izard's let-ter-that no offence to anyone was meant — he simply wished to bring before the public the evident lack of organisation in regulating the procedure of the reading of the Proclamation. The indiscriminate heading of the Judges of the Supreme Court, ministers of religion, and State officials was a striking example of the lack of etiquette which so permeates colonial life. — I am, etc., MOTHER OF SEVEN. 18th May, 1910. THE CONSUMER is tho sufferer if he permits a bubstitute to be palmed off on him as "just as good." Realise the importance of procuring "jutt what you want." Remember, SANDER'S EUCALYPTI EXIRACT is the original, tried, and approved article. If you procure the GENUINE SANDER EXIBAOT you will obtain the prompt relief which only a scientifically prepared medicament can bring. It contains ethereal particles not contained in other Eucalyptus product?, and is freed from all irritating substances. It is unique, safe, and effective. — Advt.
