[BY I'ELEGRAra — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, 12th May. A man named Donald Geddes was the victim of a Ferious accident at Poit Chalmers to-day. While engaged in loading the -s.s. Fifeshire, he fell down the hatchway, a distance of 30 feet. When picked up he* was unconscious, and an examination showed that his injuries consisted of a broken thigh, two broken ribs, injury to the left arm and head, and serious injury to the jaw. He is in a serious condition. Geddes is a married man with four children. Frederick Euthberg, the steward be- j longing to the Maiaroa, who was taken to the hospital suffering from internal hemorrhage, is reported, to be making a satisfactory veceovery.
