CHRISTCHURCH, 17th March. Charles Ronald M'Pherson ? charged in the Magistrate's Court tfith having broken into the Church of Christ on the 7th inst., and stolen 15s from the col-lection-box, and with having, on the 9th inst., broken into the Spiritualists' Church and stolen an overcoat and fountain pen, reserved his defence, and was committed for trial. The Canterbury Automobile Association's annual reliability trial was held to-day from Christchurch to Akaroa and back, distance 113 miles. The following cars made non-stop runs : — Adams, Ltcl.'s, 24 h.p. Talbot ; W. B. Scptt and Co. 's 24 h.p. Dauxhall ; Dr. Louisson's 23 lijj. Siddeley; Adams, Ltd.'s, 20 h.p. Talbot.
