THE NEW BOARD.
HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID DETAILS OF THE POLLING. The election of members of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board— a board sec up under the Act of last session, and possessing extended powers — took place yesterday. The contest was a quiet one. The electors were those whose names are on the municipal roll — a total of 31,000 being entitled to vote. Only a small proportion of the electors availed themselves of their privilege. M'Ewan, B. R. Gardener, F. T. Moore, and \V. Tomsitt. PETONE. A fair amount of interest was taken in the triangular contest at Petone, which resulted in Mr. J. -W.
