SWIFTS CLUB. ' The initial heats in a 100 yds handicap swimming race, promoted by the Swifts Club, were held at Te Aro last evening. Results were as follow : — First heat : W. Wilton. 15sec, 1; H. . Ward, scr, 2 ; W. F. Dudson, 3sec, 3. Also started : F. Delaney, 15 sec ; C. Aston, 7sec ; and E. R> Scott, ssec. Time, 73 4-ssec. There was a good finish for first place in the initial neat> but Capper won rather easily in the second heat. The final is set down for this evening.
