SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION.
The committee of the Sunday SchooV Union met last evening,, Mr. R. B. Davis,president, being in the chair. Sub-committees were appointed to bring up reports on the manner of conducting next year's examination, ' and "bn tha syllabus of the convention, to be held at Masterton next Easter. St. James's Sunday school, Wellington South, was admitted to membership oP the union, bringing up the number ofl affiliated schools to eighty-three. It waa decided to convene a meeting of Sunday, school librarians to discuss library matters. The treasurer reported that owing to heavy expenses for printing and for prizes for the successful scholars at the examination, the funds of the ur.ion wers 'all spent, and there was a considerable deficit to be met: It was suggested that tho churches should be asked to arrange for retiring collections on behalf of the funds.
